CAC Golf Classic 2015

Champions Against Cancer hosted its inaugural golf fundraiser at scenic Hobbits Glen Golf Club in Columbia, Maryland on October 19, 2015. Over 100 golfers, other guests and many volunteers participated in the event. The day included a full 18 holes of golf, continental breakfast, lunch, three course dinner, beverages, and adult spirits. The fun-filled day was highlighted by challenging golf on Hobbit Glen’s famous course and various contests, including two putting contests and a lowest team score competition. The event featured incredible support from 25 of our generous corporate and 7 private sponsors, including our main event sponsor, FESCO Emergency Sales. We are especially grateful to our wonderful volunteers who made the event run smoothly while welcoming and guiding our guests throughout the day. Finally, we express our thankfulness to our host, Hobbits Glen Golf Club. The staff was courteous and helpful in the planning of the event and on the day of the fundraiser. The facility was spectacular with beautiful views and scenery throughout the course and grounds.

Reds, Whites & Blues

Champions Against Cancer had our kickoff fundraiser May 9, 2015. The event was an evening affair at Oakland Manor in Columbia, Maryland. Two hundred patrons attended the sold out event, which included full dinner, open bar, live band music by Fast Eddie and the Slow-pokes, and a silent auction including baskets offering handmade, personalized quilts, rounds of golf, dinner reservations, and autographed pictures of local sports heroes. The event raised about $35,000 that will be earmarked to help us achieve our principal mission: To provide financial awards for children in families in which a parent has been afflicted with cancer. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, patrons and volunteers for making this event a success beyond our expectations.
